As already communicated to the public, Swisscom plans to convert all telephony connections to future-oriented IP technology by the end of 2017. This means that not only conventional services (pictures, music, data) but also all other transmissions, such as voice and alarm messages, run over the same network. The development towards IP fixed-line telephony is taking place worldwide and does not only affect Switzerland.
From January 1.1.2018st, XNUMX, alarm messages can no longer be transmitted in analog form. In order to inform the owners concerned about the various options for modernizing the alarm transmission, Telsec ESS Schweiz AG has created a leaflet which can be downloaded below. All variants of a retrofit are presented in an understandable way, which helps with decision-making.
